Jean Monnet Actions (JMA) under the Erasmus+ Programme support teaching, research, and debate in the field of European Union studies worldwide, promoting excellence in EU-related academic content and fostering dialogue between academia and society. JMA are implemented through several strands with fixed EU grant ceilings, including up to EUR 35,000 for Jean Monnet Modules, up to EUR 60,000 for Chairs, up to EUR 100,000 for Centres of Excellence. During 2021-2024 period Georgian institutions submitted 124 Jean Monnet proposals, while throughout two programme periods 50 projects were selected, and Georgia is represented in 3 networks, with selection levels in 2021–2027 (25 projects) matching those of 2014–2020, indicating sustained institutional capacity and continued engagement in EU studies despite a shorter timeframe.
